Stamp prices to increase

Mailing a letter will soon cost a penny more. The price of first-class stamp will increase to 42 cents beginning May 12.

The post office also offers "Forever Stamps," the price of which will never increase.

The last postal increase was May 2007, when the price of stamps increased 2 cents.
