Prosecutors presented evidence Wednesday that showed Underwood's alleged attack on Jamie Bolin could have been planned months before it happened.

Prosecutors used forensic investigators to paint the picture of how Kevin Underwood allegedly killed 10-year-old Jamie.

"That has to, of course, weigh very heavy with the jury and impact them when they make a decision in this case," said NEWS 9's Legal Analyst Irven Box.

Agent Jolene Russell with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation testified to finding and photographing a dagger, duct tape, a wooden cutting board and other items that prosecutors argue Underwood used to kill and butcher Jamie Rose inside his Purcell apartment.

"It's a hard task that they have to get so many pieces of evidence in, but they're doing a good job and they're getting it in and getting it admitted," Box said.

When prosecutors asked Russell to explain a Wal-Mart receipt showing Underwood bought cleaning supplies and a hacksaw two months before Rose's death, it became clear the prosecution was pushing to show premeditation.

Later this week, prosecutors are expected to play Underwood's recorded admission. The statements he made to investigators detail how and why he allegedly killed Bolin.

While the defense attorney will likely object to the confession being played, Judge Candice Blaylock's already ruled it admissible.

We're told the jury could begin deliberating the case by Friday.
