Half-price tickets to the ballet, two-for-one admission to Shakespeare in the park, buy a sandwich, get one free, these are just a tiny sampling of the discounts available when you buy an "OKCity Card" from Allied Arts Oklahoma. It's a little red card, about the size of a credit card, but it packs a wallop of savings.
The card costs $50, but it can pay for its self in no time. Seventeen attractions and events, 24 performing arts entities, 30 shops and services, 30 restaurants, 10 museums, eight galleries, for sports partners, six classes and a hotel all offer discounts for card holders.
Proceeds from purchases of the cards goes to benefit Allied Arts Oklahoma. Allied Arts was founded in 1971 by corporate, community and cultural leaders. As Central Oklahoma's only United Arts Fund, Allied Arts generates awareness of the importance of the arts and mobilizes support for arts and cultural organizations. For 37 years, they have raised more than $34 million to advance the arts and cultural community. In 2007, Allied Arts raised more than $2.4 million for the arts!
You can buy an "OKCity Card" online at www.alliedartsokc.com , you can also get them at the Quail Springs Mall and Sooner Mall service desks, or call (405) 278-8944.
