Oklahoma City voters will decide Tuesday whether to extend a one-cent sales tax to help generate money for renovations to the Ford Center.

The polls will stay open until 7 p.m. Tuesday night.

If the measure passes, supporters hope the arena renovations will help lure the Seattle SuperSonics basketball team to move to Oklahoma City.

Those opposing the tax say the public should not be the one to fund such dreams.

The tax is expected to generate $97 million over 12 months and $121.6 million over the full 15 months.

Tuesday night at 7 p.m., "Yes" voters will gather at Nonna's Euro-American Ristorante and Bar in Bricktown. The nay-sayers will be at the Galileo Bar and Grill on Paseo Drive.
