106-year-old Crescent man dies

Crescent, Okla. -- Oliver "Bud" Smart died at Crescent Care Center on Saturday night, said care workers at the center. 

Bud was born February 28, 1902 and living every day with spunk, said nurses at the facility. Watch Doug Warner's profile piece on Bud from February.

Administrators said for some unknown reason the center's fire alarm sounded the night Bud died.

"It was just God sounding the bells as he was taking our Bud," said Marsha at the care center.

Bud was taken to Abernathy Funeral Home. No funeral plans were made public.
