Mental Health Day at the Capitol

Mental health providers, advocates and patients gathered Thursday afternoon for "Mental Health Day at the Capitol."

The event, sponsored by the Oklahoma Mental Health Consumer Counsel and the State Coalition of Advocates, was designed to bring awareness to the importance of mental health treatment.

"Without the opportunity for treatment and recovery, what happens is folks often lose opportunities for housing, lose employment and lose their families," said an advocate.
