As baby boomers get older, more and more of them are likely to develop Alzheimer's disease.
A report released Tuesday from the Alzheimer's Association estimates 10 million boomers will get the disease in their lifetime. With life spans stretching longer, that could place a huge burden on families and an already struggling health care system.
"It's that there's a ripple effect from the person with the disease to the family members. If we look at the burden on caregivers, it's pretty astounding," said Dr. Emily Senay.
