Man leads police on chase with baby in car

A man was arrested Thursday night after leading police on a chase through northeast Oklahoma City with a baby in his car.

Officers said they were unaware a 14-month-old child was in the car. The police tried to pull over the man on a routine traffic stop when he fled, said police.

Eventually the man stopped his car and began running on foot and that's when officers said they found the baby inside the car, not strapped into a car seat.

The child is doing well and is in DHS custody, said officials.
