Teen fatally shot by passing motorist

A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot early Monday after bullets sprayed his neighborhood, police said.

Angel Ramirez was standing outside his house in the 5520 S Pennsylvania Ave. about midnight when a car passed by and its occupants began shooting.

The teen was shot and transported to a local hospital, where he later died,  police said.

The vehicle was described as a 2000 gray Mustang. Police are investigating the case as a homicide.

As of Monday morning, no names had been released.
