Severe storms likely Wednesday night

Strong to severe thunderstorms will affect the state Wednesday and overnight into Thursday morning.

Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are ongoing Wednesday evening in the state. 

Overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue to move through the state.  Hail and damaging winds will continue to be the primary threats with these storms.

There were more than two-thousand OG&E customers without power after strong and severe thunderstorms moved through the Oklahoma City metro area.  As of 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night, more than a thousand customers were without power in north OKC, more than a thousand in Forest Park, and nearly 100 in Yukon.  For updates on OG&E power, click here.

Storms will gradually end Thursday morning.
