Oklahoma City police said they believe they have one of the two men responsible for an alleged string of robberies throughout the metro.

Police booked 19-year-old Anthony Keys in connection to the robberies. Keys faces five counts of Armed Robbery and one count of Auto Burglary.

Officers said Keys and an accomplice targeted people in parking lots across the metro and in some cases, robbed them at gunpoint.

After learning that one of the men could be in police custody, Elizabeth Aguilar, a victim of the weekend robberies, said she's more relaxed today knowing she's a bit safer.

Aguilar said during the attacks, she was afraid she was going to lose her life. She had just finished shopping and was leaving the Crossroads Mall Saturday Night when she was approached by two men in the parking lot.

Aguilar said when she opened her door, the men were behind her and asked her for her purse. After seeing a gun, she handed the purse over to the men.

Police said a least six other people were robbed by the same individuals beginning in Early May at different locations throughout the metro, including the parking lots of the Belle Isle Wal-Mart and Quail Springs Mall.

"These individuals are waiting for the victim to walk out to their vehicle and usually wait until they're distracted," said Sgt. Balderrama of the OKCPD.

Police warned the public to always be vigilant in parking lots.

"I always go out by myself," Aguilar said. "Now, I don't want to go by myself because I never thought that this was going to happen to me."

The vehicle believed to be used in the robberies was pulled over at NE 48 and Prospect Tuesday afternoon. Keys in the car fit the description of one of the suspects and was taken into police custody.

Police said they are still searching for the second man.
