Plane makes emergency landing in Canadian County

RICHLAND, Okla.  -- A small plane made an emergency landing on Thursday in a field between Richland and Okarche in Canadian County.

The plane went down about 15 miles west of Wiley Post Airport Thursday morning, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

The passengers were not injured and walked to a  nearby farm house for a ride to Wiley Post. When they arrived at the airport, they notified the Federal Aviation Administration of their emergency landing, troopers said.
