On The Road Again

Last year, Mary Joseph and I were sent out by our bosses to highlight some of the best tourist destinations Oklahoma has to offer.  

Among the places we and our photographer Scott Buechner traveled to were Woodward County where we delved into our Western roots; Krebs and Talihina Drive where we explored European influences in Oklahoma; Tahlequah to learn more about Native American history; and a tour of Oklahoma wineries in Chandler and Stroud.

They were really good assignments. And we're prepared to do it all over again.

This July, I will hit the road to explore tourist destinations outside of Oklahoma, just a short drive away.  But this time around, the road trips will be bittersweet.

Mary Joseph is leaving News 9 at the end of  June.  And Scott Buechner is now working as a photographer in Arizona.  So I'm the only original member left. 

But Jaqueline Sit, News 9's newest exemplary edition, will pick up where Mary left off.  And Photographer extraordinare, John Almendarez has his camera all fired up and ready to shoot.

Details of our destinations are still being worked out.  But stay tuned to News 9 this July for some memorable trips.
