So far, Faith Foreclosure Services hasn't been able to get me any documents proving they were helping Reba get out of foreclosure.  But I hope I'm able to do a follow up on this story.  I really hope FFS is able to show me documentation that they were working on Reba's case.  It's a sad situation if a company takes advantage of people - especially those who have no extra money to spare.

I'm also hopeful that FFS will follow through on their word and give Reba back her 2400 dollars.  That money was supposed to go to the mortgage company.  Reba's already paid FFS their 500 dollar fee.

***If you find yourself in a foreclosure situation this section is for you:

While there are legitimate for profit companies - there are also non for profit companies that will help.  The best resource I can tell you about is the "Hope Now Alliance".  They are HUD approved and won't cost you a dime.
Their number is 1-888-995-HOPE.
Their website is:  www.foreclosurehelpandhope.org.

Also, if you have an FHA mortgage, your lender is required by HUD to work out a repayment agreement.  Call HUD's National Servicing Center at 1-888-297-8685 for more information.
