Firefighters raise money for burn center

Firefrighters from across the state will try to raise the money in honor of Destry Horton, a firefighter who lost his life battling a blaze in 2007.

The Oklahoma State Firefighters Association kicked off a fundraising blitz Friday in efforts to raise half a million dollars. Firefighters from across the state will try to raise the money in honor of Destry Horton, a firefighter who lost his life battling a blaze in 2007.

The money will be used to build four new intensive care units and Baptists Integris' Burn Center which will be named in Horton's honor.
