Firefighters from three states helped battle a large grass fire near Guymon yesterday into early this morning, Assistant Chief Grant Wadley of the Guymon Fire Department said.
With the help of firefighters from Texas and Kansas, Oklahoma firefighters were able to extinguish a large grass fire between Goodwell and Guymon by 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning, authorities said.
No people or buildings were burned in the large fire that started around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
