Operation Boot Camp - Day 3
Tie a belt around your waist. Now loop a bungee cord through it. Now have a partner pull the bungee cord backward as hard as he can while you sprint, hop, jump and crawl across a basketball court. That's what we did today in bootcamp. It all came after a good warm up and stretch, and was followed by, of course, the core workout. The core is a set of seven different "crunches" -- times thirty. That's 200+ moves focused solely on the abdomen. EVERY DAY. Along with the daily workout we follow a meal plan.
Here's a look at a typical day for me:
7 a.m. - bowl of Grape Nuts with a sliced banana and 1/4 cup blueberries
10 a.m. - protein bar
12 p.m. - salad with balsamic vinegar dressing, bowl of vegetable soup
1:20 p.m. - boiled egg, small apple
3:30 p.m. - 1 c. sliced cucumber
6 p.m. - small piece of grilled fish, 1/2 c. brown rice, 1 cup green beans
I can't lie, I do miss my iced hazelnut coffee from McDonald's and the afternoon Diet Coke from Sonic, but what a tiny price to pay to look and feel good again. This is so very worth it.
