July 4, 5 & 6
Operation Boot Camp - Days 5-7
Over the holiday weekend I did my homework, which thankfully isn't as intense as the daily workout. Day 5 I did 100 squats and 50 pushups, plus the core workout. Day 6 was 100 crunches and 25 push ups, plus the core. That was a total of about 300 crunches stomach exercises that day! My right leg and foot hurt pretty badly, so I threw in a ten-minute warm up and stretched for about 20 minutes. Day 7, Sunday, was my lazy day. I slept in until 9 a.m. and didn't do my homework until about 10 a.m. It was a 15 minute jog followed by a long stretching session. My foot still hurt, but I did the jog anyway.
The hardest part of the weekend was avoiding junk food. I just kept fresh tomatoes and cucumbers cut up and snacked on those instead of the rice krispie treats I really wanted.
