Police search for July 4 robbery suspect

Norman police are searching for a man involved in an alleged armed robbery at a northeast-side Wal-Mart on July 4.

NORMAN, Okla. -- Norman police are searching for a man involved in an alleged armed robbery at a northeast-side Wal-Mart on July 4.  

Police said the alleged robbery happened at the Wal-Mart on 601 NE 12 Ave. at 7:30 a.m. on July 4.

A store employee working at the Wal-Mart's Money Center told police the suspect approached him, exposed a handgun and demanded money from the teller.

The suspect was last seen walking southeast through a nearby field wearing a light green, long-sleeved button-up shirt, tan pants, dark shoes, a red baseball cap with a white OU logo on the front and black sunglasses. He is described as a white male in his mid to late 20s with a medium height and build.
