Car involved in hit-and-run found, police say

A car used in a hit and run accident late Tuesday night which killed an 18-year-old Midwest City resident Jasmine Lee, has been found in Oklahoma City, authorities said.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A car used in a hit and run accident late Tuesday night which killed an 18-year-old Midwest City resident Jasmine Lee, has been found in Oklahoma City, authorities said.

Investigators said they received an anonymous tip Thursday that the car, a green four door 2000 Chevy Impala, was in the driveway at 1516 NE 43 Street in Oklahoma City. It was recovered and has been processed for forensic evidence.

Authorities said the registered owner is cooperating with the investigation and they are following up additional leads.

The black male suspect, described by witnesses at the scene of the accident, has been tentatively identified, however his name will not be released until either an arrest is made or formal charges filed, authorities said.
