Police seek public help finding rape suspect

The Oklahoma City Police Sex Crimes Unit is asking for the public's help identifying and locating a man who allegedly attempted to rape a woman in NW Oklahoma City.

Police said on June 25 the victim was walking on Lyrewood Lane when the suspect pulled up next to her and threatened to kill her if she didn't get in the car with him. According to police, as the suspect allegedly attempted to rape the victim, she was able to fight him off and escape from the vehicle.

The suspect is described as a Mexican or Hispanic male in his mid to late 30s with a medium build. He has black hair with a buzz cut and brown eyes. He was last seen driving a four-door Toyota Camry.
