Saturday Morning Sweep is a neat solution for dirty neighborhoods. Oklahoma City's Solid Waste Management Division has created the free cleanup event for neighborhoods to dispose of yard waste, litter, overgrowth and storm debris.

Neighborhood associations can schedule a cleanup once a year between April and September. The City will deliver a commercial sized dumpster between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. the day of the event.

One volunteer from the neighborhood will act as a contact and monitor the event and at least 15 people must participate in the Saturday Morning Sweep. Personal household trash, appliances containing Freon, household hazardous waste and tires will not be accepted. A crew will be provided to pick up the dumpster around noon and the City will pay the disposal fee.

To schedule a Saturday Morning Sweep, go to www.okc.gov or call 749-3092.
