Bob Stoops is preparing for his 10th year as OU's football coach.

"I feel very fortunate to have had the success we have had and work with the people we have and a great group of players," Stoops said during a press conference on Wednesday.

The Sooners start their season with a home game against Chattanooga on Aug. 30. Stoops said he hopes to win his sixth Big 12 championship.

"I think overall, we've been in six Big 12 Championships and we won five of them," he said. "We are doing something right. We know how to win those games and we'll manage these others the best we can and I think as much as anything it's the players staying invested and us as coaches as well doing the job we need to do to be at our best in those situations."

Stoops also spoke about the Internet hoax that falsely reported quarterbacks Sam Bradford and Landry Jones had been arrested for distributing cocaine.

He said he's in full support of The Oklahoman's intention to sue a Texas man over the Internet hoax.

Before the hoax was uncovered two Texas broadcast stations reported the story.
