Before we start on the newest craze to sweep News 9 since the pedometer, I have to quickly add that The Dark Knight was [insert choice word of praise here] - for true, go see it at least twice. The next big movie due to hit the silver screen: James Bond Quantum of Solace, another blog, another time.

Back on topic. The newest craze to sweep News 9 since we all stepped it up with the pedometer contest, and no, I didn't cheat I just found several ways one could cheat, is Facebook.  Facebook is one of several massive, online networks in which people can actually sit and control their social life from the comfort of their home: communicate with and stockpile friends; plain social gatherings; create fan groups and sub networks; download and post music, videos and pictures; the list goes on and on.

I was a little hesitant at first, knowing full well how addicting other networks of the likes were, but hey, this was for the News 9 team! My Facebook profile was promptly made, along with many other News 9 colleagues. Within hours of News 9's insertion into Facebook, friends begin to pour in from all over Oklahoma, as well as the country - and they are still coming!

Facebook is addicting. You can lose yourself for hours it seems prowling the cyber world: updating your profile with the latest and greatest additions; sending friends virtual presents; reading through your friends' profiles for the latest gossip; sometimes you just find yourself sitting there staring at the flash of the monitor...being there just in case a new notification arrives. At least we can't get into trouble checking our Facebook pages at work, seeing how most conversations among fellow coworkers start with "Ohh did you see so and so's page?!"

If you don't have a Facebook account, cruise over to the link provided in this blog, and make one! Then you too can be friends with all of us at News 9, and get to learn a little bit about the people behind the camera. Tell your friends, and tell them to tell their friends. With how friendly and sociable Oklahomans are, we can make News 9 the largest television group on Facebook!

I'll be waiting for your friend request =).
