I signed on with Facebook recently.  It was not without trepidation that I made that bold step that so many have made before me.  The experience has turned out to be quite entertaining, educational and just plain fun.   Surprisingly new friends have been jumping on, at what seems to me, a fast clip.  One thing I really didn't expect was old friends and relatives that had been lost in the dust of time to jump right out into the sunlight!  How great!  And it is only possible because of the computer and the Internet.

Over fifteen years ago, I was visiting San Diego.  It was fascinating to look at the sides of buildings.  Yes, the sides of buildings.  In giant painted letters were such lines as:  WWW.birddoelectronics.com .  They were everywhere.  I was fascinated.

Upon returning to News 9 I told my boss, "Boss, there's something big going on in computers and this Internet thing and we better hitch a ride, fast."  The Internet revolution for the common folks swept across the nation like an Oklahoma range fire.  The world was close behind and rapid changes now seem to come weekly or even daily.  It's a wild, fast moving world and brother, you better hold on tight.
