MUSKOGEE, Okla. - A Tennessee man died Monday afternoon after a plane he was piloting crashed near Muskogee.
The two-seat aircraft went down about 1:30 p.m., Deputy Police Chief Johnny Teehee said.
Officials said the man was the only person on board. His name hasn't been released.
Resident Walter Kirk said he heard a sound like an airplane trying to rev its engine. As he walked to the front of his house, he saw a blur then heard a crash and saw a flash of light.
