The remnants of Hurricane Gustav will weigh heavily on the forecast for the first week of September here in Oklahoma. The leftover moisture and energy from the storm will promote significantly cooler daytime highs; 70s and lower 80s, prolonged increased cloud cover, sultry conditions, and the potential for torrential rains spanning several days towards the middle and end of the week.
Currently, the aforementioned impacts will be felt primarily across the eastern-half of the state, though any change in the path of the storm will consequently change the impacts felt here in Oklahoma.
