Consistent waves of heavy rain and strong, to severe thunderstorms doused north central portions of the state early Sunday morning. Alfalfa, Grant, Garfield, Noble and Pawnee County received one to nearly four-and-one-half inches of rain since midnight Sunday. The heavy rain prompted several Flood Advisories and Flash Flood Warnings for the aforementioned counties during the predawn hours.

Storms are expected to wane in intensity and coverage after sunrise, though the recently soaked ground and cloud cover will result in cool daytime highs for the northern half of the state Sunday afternoon.

Rainfall totals as of 8:00 AM Sunday:

Red Rock: 4.31 inches

Cherokee: 3.05 inches

Pawnee: 2.67 inches

Breckinridge: 1.45 inches

Medford: 1.04 inches
