OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City Thunder sent out a text message saying all season tickets are sold out.
Chairman Clay Bennett said the last of approximately 13,000 Thunder season tickets were sold on Friday.
Fans still waiting to purchase season tickets had their appointments canceled. Anyone who signed up and didn't get a chance to purchase tickets will be put on a waiting list, officials said.
Oklahoma's NBA franchise will join the Celtics, Lakers and Suns as one of only four teams with season ticket waiting lists.
Officials said fans on the waiting list may be offered other ticket packages in the near future.
Tickets for about 4,000 seats have been withheld for single-game, group and partial-season ticket sales. Tickets to individual games will start being sold next month.
