I'm fortunate to be able to explore the paranormal side of Oklahoma. The field itself is very controversial. There are plenty of naysayers and believers. There are also plenty of ghost hunting clubs.
Since I've started conducting my investigations, there have been several paranormal groups logging on to the Web site and then leaving negative comments towards the groups I've worked with. They then have the nerve to e-mail me or call to invite me to go out with them on their investigations. Why would I want to associate with grown adults who are still acting like children? Why would I want to promote clubs that do that?
As I stated above, there are plenty of good, well-meaning people who investigate the paranormal. They invest their own money into their equipment and pay their own travel expenses to each and every location.
Some of the angry groups that leave the negative remarks promote themselves as being a part of national, well-known investigative groups. Do you think those people would like to know that their ‘local affiliates' berate people openly on the Web?
I do investigations with any group that presents themselves in a professional manner. I welcome invitations to join a hunt if I am available. It's something I'm interested in and I consider a hobby. It's great when you explain to a family that there is nothing in the house except some lose windows that rattle. On the other hand, when you capture a picture of something that wasn't there before, that's incredible.
When you get in a forum online and start talking ill of others and then try to make yourself seem angelic and innocent, then you're just sad.
