It is now common knowledge, backed by studies, that voter turnout suffers on Election Days with inclement weather.  On Election Day 2008, there is less-than-ideal weather in some key states.

Widespread rain showers are currently affecting North Carolina and Virginia.  Elsewhere in the country, rain and snow are moving through the Rockies region in Washington, Utah, and Idaho.  This is associated with a low pressure system that is moving onshore, and will affect the Plains by Wednesday bringing a chance for strong to severe thunderstorms.
