CRAIG COUNTY -- Authorities are investigating the deaths of an elderly couple in Craig County.
Spokeswoman Jessica Brown of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation identified the couple as 67-year-old William Huls and 66-year-old Leota Huls.
Craig County Sheriff Jimmie Sooter said the couple was found shot to death in their rural home Sunday morning by a neighbor who went to check on them when they didn't show up for church.
Authorities said Leota's purse was taken, but that was all.
Sooter said the home is located about 12 miles north of Welch or about four miles from the Kansas border.
This is Craig County's first homicide since 1999.
