1 cup butter
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 ounces unsweetened pure chocolate
½ cup flour
2 cups sugar
¾ cup coarsely chopped pecans
Melt butter and chocolate in a double boiler. Set aside. Beat eggs with sugar and add flour. Stir in the chocolate mixture, vanilla and pecans. Pour into a heavily greased 9" pie pan. Set in a pan (such as a roaster pan) of hot water, about 1". Bake at 325 degrees for 50 - 55 minutes, no longer. Pie should be crusty on top and soft inside.
