OKLAHOMA CITY -- Metro police are searching for a suspect who hit a woman Friday night and drove off. The hit and run occurred on NW 19 and MacArthur Boulevard around 7 p.m.
The woman was crossing a dimly lit street when she was hit. Police said the driver will likely face charges.
"It's a felony to leave the scene of an injury accident, and should it turn in to a fatality there's obviously more serious charges," Oklahoma City Police Lt. Isaac Goodman said.
The woman was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The victim's name and condition have not been released.
Authorities are looking for a newer model maroon pickup truck, possibly a Ford.
