High Winds Fuel Downtown Cyril Fire

CYRIL, Oklahoma - Firefighters of the Caddo County town of Cyril battled flames of a downtown store Monday night.

The town's home furnishings store and a vacant grocery began burning at about 2:30 Monday afternoon. No one was inside either store when the fire started.

The town's water supply wasn't enough to fight the fire, so water had to be trucked in to aid in controlling the flames.

Highway 277 through Cyril closed for firefighters to control the blaze.
