OKLAHOMA CITY -- Many were touched after hearing the story about Brynn Maldonado and her family. Thieves broke into their home Tuesday and stole electronics, clothes and nearly all of their Christmas gifts.
Since the story aired on NEWS 9 Wednesday, hundreds of e-mails and phone calls have poured in from people wanting to donate and help.
The outpouring of support has been overwhelming. Generous viewers have come by the station to donate toys, clothes and monetary support. NEWS 9 is gathering the contributions at the station, and will deliver them to the Maldonado family.
In an effort to deliver all the help as soon as possible, NEWS 9 is asking further donations be brought by close of the business day December 19. Donors are no longer asked to mail gifts.
Donations can be dropped off during business hours at the front office at 7401 N. Kelley in Oklahoma City. Checks can be made out to Alondra Maldonado. For clothing donations, Brynn is a size four.
