Black ice and high winds are making travel very dangerous in Kansas.
The Kansas Turnpike Authority said there is a lot of patchy ice that has
caused several spinouts in Sumner and Butler Counties today.
Some vehicles have slid off the roadway. One semi jackknifed after hitting a
slippery patch of pavement.
At least two people were killed in weather-related accidents.
Turnpike officials say the road conditions won't improve until the weather
warms up enough to melt the thin layer of ice.
