From News9 meteorologist Stephanie Malone...
After a foggy start this morning across much of the metro, many portions of the state will have a pleasant afternoon with highs in the 60s. The central part of the state seeing some lingering clouds, which will hold down high temperatures into the 50s. Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 15 miles per hour, and then not too bad of a night with lows only getting down into the lower 40s.
This weekend will be a weekend of extremes. Temperatures will be rather warm on Saturday, with highs getting up into the lower 70s. Then things get cold quickly with temperatures not even making it out of the 30s on Sunday with arctic air blasting into the state. With the arctic air in place, we will have a chance for some wintery precip. to begin your work week Monday.
