What month is it? Sunny, warm and windy conditions will headline Saturday afternoon, after a foggy morning start in portions of the state. Temperatures this afternoon will reach the 60s, 70s to near 80 degrees in southwest Oklahoma, as southwest winds draw in a very dry, warm air mass. Conditions will be highly favorable for wildfires in portions of southwest Oklahoma and west north Texas; Red Flag Warnings have been issued for the aforementioned areas until 6 PM Saturday evening.
Bringing a drastic halt to our fun in the sun will be a strong cold front barreling south and east through the Plain States this afternoon and tonight. While the front won't provide any moisture to relieve the dry conditions, it will bring a healthy dose of Canadian air. Temperatures will bottom out in the 10s, 20s and 30s Sunday morning, and only reach the 30s and 40s Sunday afternoon.
