OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police are searching for a suspect who committed two robberies on NW 63rd Saturday morning.

The first robbery occurred at the Velvet Monkey, a beauty salon at 3003 NW 63rd, around 9:00 a.m. The suspect held up the receptionist at knife point, robbed the salon and left her tied up.

The second incident happened at a Dollar Store located at 2901 NW 63rd around 9:35 a.m.

"I can't believe our coordinator is in her 60s. The sweetest lady ever, got tied up and robbed by knife point. It is horrible," said Estrella Evans, who works at Velvet Monkey.

The suspect is described as a black male; about 5 feet 11 inches with a stocky build. He was last seen wearing a blue hoody. Witnesses said he is between 25 and 40-year-old.

Police said the suspect's description is similar to a suspect connected with other metro robberies in the past week. Authorities are looking into a possible connection.

If you have any information about these incidents, please contact the Oklahoma City Police Department.
