From News9 meteorologist Stephanie Malone...
After a very cold start this morning, with parts of the state getting down to 5°, the worst of the cold is over. This afternoon will warm up more than yesterday, with highs in the low 40s under mostly sunny skies. Lows will also be substantially warmer than last night's temps, with lows in the upper 20s, instead of lower teens.
For your weekend, highs will be in the mid 50s under sunny skies, but winds will be up to 20 miles per hour, making it feel a bit chilly.
