Bone-numbing. Teeth-chattering. Cut-through-you cold. After Arctic air advanced into Oklahoma late last Wednesday, the temperature tide will take a turn for the warmer side this weekend.
The large trough of cold, unsettled weather that has been anchored over the eastern U.S. for days, responsible in part for the Arctic air intrusion, will finally break and move off over the Atlantic Ocean. This dislodging will allow a ridge of warmer air to build east over the western half of the country, bringing sunny, pleasant weather to Oklahoma all next week. Colder air, however, looks to make a return next weekend.
