Parts of the state is under a burn ban today for this Martin Luther King Jr. day. Southwestern Oklahoma has a heightened wildfire risk with relatively warm temperatures, dry air and gusty winds. Highs today will be in the upper 50s, and lower 60s for some under mostly sunny skies. Winds will be from the northwest at 10 to 20.
The work week will be pleasant with highs in the 50s and 60s up until Friday and lows will be in the 30s until Friday night. Friday highs will only get into the mid 40s with partly cloudy skies. It will be even colder on Saturday with highs in the upper 30s. Sunday there is a slight chance of some frozen wintery mix, with lows in the mid 20s Sunday morning and highs getting into the low 40s.
