OKLAHOMA CITY -- A suspicious device was discovered on the Oklahoma State University campus in Oklahoma City, which prompted the action of Oklahoma City police and the bomb squad.
The device was reported around 2:20 p.m. and was found in the administration and Student Center building. Everyone in the building was evacuated and the Oklahoma City Police Department along with the Bomb Squad are at the scene.
The device belonged to a professor who was given a grant for terrorism training. He told police the device was used solely for training and was not an actual explosive, but the bomb squad decided to treat the incident as if it were authentic.
The bomb squad destroyed the device and school officials said classes will resume at 5:30 p.m.
