From News9 Meteorologist Stephanie Malone...
The fire risk will be high today as we have warm temperatures and strong winds, especially in southwest Oklahoma. Highs will get into the low 80s in central Oklahoma, but climb up into the high 80s in southwest Oklahoma. Winds will be from the southwest at 15 to 30 miles per hour with higher gusts under partly cloudy skies.
Later this evening a cold front will make its way through the state, causing temperatures to plummet into the low 30s tonight. There could also be some thunderstorms along the cold front tonight in eastern and southeast Oklahoma.
Temperatures will stay chilly over the weekend with highs only in the 40s and 50s, but a slight warm up is in store for the beginning of next week.
