OKLAHOMA CITY -- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Oklahoma City teamed up with local media to fundraise money for the Bowl For Kids' Sake program Saturday.
NEWS 9 had a team bowl in the event in an effort to support big brother, big sister teams. Every bowling team hope to raise at least $1000 to support one match for an entire year.
"Right now, we have more than 100 children that are on our waiting list waiting to be matched with a big brother or big sister. So the need is great and this is a way to raise money to fill that void and we can match more mentors with the children," said Adrianna Iwasinksi with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
If you would like more information about how to become a big brothers or big sisters, the program's Website has personal stories and volunteer applications online.
