The digital transition has not been easy and many folks are still waiting on converter coupons, but now the wait is nearly over.
Here is big news for those of you still waiting for your $40 coupons. The government has just released more money for the coupon program. Those of you on the waiting list will start seeing coupons in the mail starting next week. Plus, for those of you that lost your coupon or let it expire, you can now reapply for new coupons.
My last reminder about the digital conversion is for those of us with these little TVs we keep in our closets in case of emergency. Once all the TV stations have transitioned to all digital on June 12 smaller TVs aren't going to be receiving TV anymore either. If yours is like one and has a radio built-in, the radio portion will still work.
In fact during severe weather you can listen to Gary and the weather team simulcasting on several radio stations.
Again, except for some small TV market areas, and that does not include us in the Metro, on June 12 all TV stations for both picture and sound will go all digital.
