TULSA, Oklahoma -- A University of Tulsa tennis player's career has ended after he suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car.

Police say Ross Cunningham was riding a scooter Monday near the TU campus when a car pulled into a convenience store and crashed into him. Cunningham fractured his right leg, dislocated his hip and has a face fracture and other injuries.

According to the TU athletic Web site, the accident ends Cunningham's collegiate career.
