Spring snow in the North Carolina highlands greeted travelers Tuesday morning. Roads in Buncombe, Madison, Graham, Swain and Cherokee Counties were
covered with snow and ice. The National Weather Service says accumulations
will range from a light dusting in some areas to four or more inches in the
mountains.
Temperatures will also remain unseasonably low for the entire state from the
upper elevations to the coastal Outer Banks with sub-freezing conditions
anticipated Wednesday (04-08) as well.
