Ask-A-Lawyer Day Offers Free Legal Advice

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma Lawyers will be offering free legal advice Thursday as part of the Ask a Lawyer Day.

Anyone seeking free legal advice can call the toll-free number 1-800-456-8525 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

About 350 lawyers from the Oklahoma City and Tulsa areas volunteer their time and knowledge, donating about $50,000 in legal services.

Thursday marks the 31 st year the Oklahoma Bar Association has offered the public free legal service as part of Law Day, celebrated by both at the state and national level.

The legal advice will also be offered in Spanish, through bilingual attorneys and translators.

It's estimated 2,500 people will take advantage of the free services in Thursday's event.
